- TRACE CARRIER BELT
-
-
-
- This style of trace carrier buckle was used on horse and
wagon harness in the old days. Some versions of it are still
used today. It makes for a unique belt buckle. We hand stitch
the solid brass buckle onto the English Bridle strap. Because
the strap doubles back, just like our double ring belts, we reverse
the adjustable end by cutting, gluing and stitching it into place
so the finished side of the bridle leather always shows. Some
prefer just three holes, but the normal five work well. The reversed
end piece is shorter on the three hole version, but adjustability
is more limited.
-
- Colors - L to R, are medium brown, chestnut, burgundy,
dark brown, and black. Undyed, natural leather too (single piece
to the right).
Strap width - 1-3/8", buckle 2-3/4"(L - R) x 2-5/8"

- BELT SIZE
Please determine belt size by measuring a currently used belt.
Pants waist size is no longer a reliable way to determine belt
size.
-
- ALL BELTS ARE MADE TO ORDER
- SIZE IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. PLEASE MEASURE. NO
RETURNS.
Measure from point "A" on the buckle to the most used
hole on your current belt. It might not be the middle hole.
This measurement is usually 2 to 5 inches bigger than your pants
waist size. Note that A on the top belt is
just inside the buckle end where the swivel tongue meets the
buckle body
..and that A on the bottom belt
is at the base of the hook. Its important that the working
length of the buckle be included in your measurement.
Point "B" on the new belt will be the middle of 5 holes
(or loops on some styles).
